Two sisters with very different life philosophies, popular NYC therapist Janey Hanks and her pessimistically eccentric sister Kat, make a bet to determine who gets further in 24 hours: the optimist or the cynic. But when everything in Janey’s day seems to go wrong and everything in Kat’s seems to go right, each begins to question if life’s really what she thought it was. Janey finds herself questioning her beliefs, right as Kat... seems to get everything she’s been waiting for. One Good Day explores whether we expect too much or too little out of life — the difference between contentment and settling, discontentment and hope. But, mostly, it’s a show about hope.

one good daY is an original romantic musical comedy with book & lyrics by liz suggs and music by rona siddiqui (2020 Jonathan larson award-winner, tony-winning and grammy-nominated music director of a strange loop.)
